NL-YOU Micro Site National-Louis University
NL-YOU Micro Site

The NL-YOU micro site was first developed by an outside agency with the purpose of highlighting NLU's open houses. I was asked to redesign this splash page when the marketing department became unhappy with its results. The redesign of this splash page included design elements from phase 2 of the NLU web site, matching content to keyword phrases, as well as a dynamic system for displaying open house dates. Results were excellent, even more so than initially expected. Statistics revealed that after the redesign, monthly unique page impressions increased from 4,800 to 8,300, indicating that our optimization techniques yielded higher visit totals. Median visit times increased from 0:32 all the way to 3:40, indicating that our visitors were actually engaging the page by obsorbing the content and remaining on the page for a considerably longer period of time.
